Elevating Candidate Connections: Criteo's Careers Site Transformation

The Brief

Criteo, a leading global technology company in the Commerce Media Platform sector, partnered with HappyDance to revolutionize their careers site.

The goal was to elevate the candidate experience, highlight their vibrant company culture, and increase engagement and application conversions.

Faced with a tight timeline and the limitations of their existing platform, Phenom, Criteo needed an efficient, innovative solution.

The Execution

HappyDance initiated a two-phased approach. Initially, we provided an interim solution to maintain Criteo's online presence while developing a custom site. The collaboration focused on:

Interim Solution Development:

Acknowledging the urgency due to the impending end of Criteo's contract with their previous provider, HappyDance swiftly deployed an interim careers site. This allowed Criteo to maintain its online recruitment presence without interruption while we worked on the custom solution.

Creative Collaboration:

Our team worked closely with Criteo to capture the essence of their vibrant culture. This involved:

  • Developing unique visual animations and support graphics.
  • Integrating motion design to create a dynamic user experience.
  • Leveraging Criteo’s brand elements to ensure consistency and vibrancy across the site.

Technical Integration and Enhancement:

  • We integrated the Careers Site with Workday using a Report-as-a-Service (RaaS) to streamline job listings.
  • Implemented end-to-end tracking of candidate behavior, from the source of origin to application completion or job alert sign-up.
  • Enhanced the job description pages, making them more immersive and reflective of the opportunities at Criteo.

Content Strategy and Optimization:

  • Conducted a thorough audit of the existing careers site to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Developed a sitemap in collaboration with Criteo, focusing on optimal candidate experience.
  • Recommended and implemented content strategies known for high candidate engagement, including authentic video content, employee testimonials, and frequently asked questions.

This ensured that each aspect of the careers site, from technical functionalities to creative elements, was aligned with Criteo’s goals and employer brand, leading to a successful transformation.

The Results

From the custom site launch on 28th June to the evaluation period in July, we observed:

  • Bounce rate decreased by 31.2%
  • Avg Session Duration increase of 50.6%
  • Page Views up 33.5%
  • Application completion up 57.4%

This transformation by HappyDance not only improved Criteo’s online candidate engagement but also provided valuable insights for further enhancing their employer brand and recruitment strategy.
