For our inaugural partner spotlight, we sat down with Omar Khateeb, CEO and Founder of JobPixel—a leading video platform provider. JobPixel provides video-content software for some of the world's leading brands—including UPS, Cognizant, and Randstad—helping them create and deploy employee-generated content to attract and convert high-quality candidates.

Omar’s favorite thing about his role? Talking to customers.

I have such a great relationship with every single one of our customers. Helping to solve their problems brings me so much energy and happiness every day.”

As the leader of JobPixel, Omar is at the forefront of innovation in employer brand content creation. We were excited to hear his insights, anecdotes, and experiences of today's talent-acquisition landscape—and his predictions for the future.

What one trend are you seeing that’s reshaping talent acquisition or employer branding? And how is it impacting your customers?

It’s kind of funny because the biggest trend we’re seeing right now is literally what we do at JobPixel: a shift towards user-generated content.

Leading organizations are not just allowing but actively encouraging their employees to become content creators—sharing a transparent, behind-the-scenes view of what it’s really like to work there. It's such a beautiful evolution to see in the industry.

Many of the organizations we work with impact our everyday lives—from pharmaceutical companies to delivery services to restaurants—but people rarely see how that impact is made. We just experience the final product, without understanding the work and culture behind it.

This transparency shift allows employees to share authentic glimpses of their day-to-day work lives—even how their personal and professional lives blend. It’s exciting for us as a company, and it’s proving to be incredibly engaging for potential candidates, who can picture themselves in those roles before they even apply.

What’s a common challenge your customers face, and how has JobPixel helped turn that challenge into an opportunity?

A lot of our clients struggle with brand perception—they want to share more with the world because their employer brand is misunderstood. People don’t always know who they are or what they stand for—but in today’s world, public sentiment is everything.

A great example of getting employer branding right is Duolingo’s TikTok account. It’s funny, sometimes even borderline inappropriate. It's a potential HR nightmare, but it authentically displays their culture to the world.

And it’s effective. You see people in the comments saying, ‘I want to work here.’, ‘I’m downloading the app right now.’

This culture-based content is bringing consumer and employer brands together, showcasing how they’re a great place to buy from and to work for.

Data often reveals surprising insights. What one key insight has shaped your thinking or strategy recently?

We see a huge correlation between content quality and engagement quality.

While this might seem obvious, it’s often a revelation for our clients. Many companies assume that any video content will do—but that’s simply not true. Only great video delivers great results.

When companies create dynamic, engaging content—with people moving between spaces, interacting, and sharing experiences—we see 5-10x better engagement in both views and clicks.

People’s attention spans are shrinking, so it you don’t catch someone’s attention in the first two to five seconds, you’ve lost them. Companies need to create content that engages immediately and pulls candidates into a journey.

Looking forward, what innovation or emerging idea excites you the most in this space?

The next wave of AI agents is going to be very interesting.

Human beings are inherently creative creatures. What excites us is innovation, not mundane tasks. AI is freeing up more capacity for creative thinking, and I believe this is going to spark the next industrial revolution.

It’s exciting for our company as well. At JobPixel, we’re early adopters of AI, but we’ve made a conscious choice not to brand ourselves as “AI-powered”—we’re AI-assisted.

We’ve woven AI into our product—through script generators, noise reduction, and optimization tools—but it’s not completely AI-powered.

The sprinkling of AI assistance powers the potential for human creativity—that's the magic.

Can you share a defining moment in your career that taught you an invaluable lesson?

One example is a time I got absolutely roasted on a podcast—but the experience really helped me take JobPixel from where it was to where it is today.

I was a guest on the Chad and Cheese podcast right after we announced our first round of funding. At the time, JobPixel was a two-way video platform, where employers would send a video, and candidates would record one in response.

Well, they tore the idea apart. They called it unoriginal and said it asked too much of candidates. They pretty much said the idea just wouldn’t work and recommended focusing on employer branding instead—which is exactly what we did.

It was a small pivot that involved removing a feature instead of adding one, but it was a turning point in terms of company growth We listened to the advice, adapted our approach, and I’m very thankful for that. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that JobPixel wouldn’t be here today if we hadn't taken that advice seriously.

And finally, if you had to share one piece of advice to employers, what would it be?

For God’s sake, build a great careers site.

We meet organizations doing such amazing work, but you go to their careers website and it’s just ‘blah’. It doesn’t tell a compelling story or highlight what makes them different.

Today, people don’t ‘live to work’, they ‘work to live’. Candidates are looking for jobs that fit their lifestyle and reflect their values—they're no longer tied to a specific company. An uninspiring careers site is simply not going to attract today’s top talent—employer branding has never been more important.

And for candidates?

I would encourage candidates to look for flexibility. Find a place where you really enjoy the work you do—where you can flex your creativity, pursue passion projects, and let your light shine.
