One month after launch, the website generated 850 applications at an 11.45% conversion rate, and nearly nine in ten candidates who started Culture Compass complete it.
Happydance today shared early results from Aristocrat's new global careers experience. The site was launched in September.
The new careers website brings Aristocrat's opportunities, culture and candidate journeys together in one global experience. It's live in five languages: English, Canadian French, Polish, Bulgarian and Spanish. It's built around how candidates actually explore and decide. They can describe the role they want in their own words, by typing or by voice. They can see how their experience lines up with open roles and reflect on how their working style fits life at Aristocrat, all before they apply.
In its first month, the site recorded:
850 applications, an 11.45% conversion rate
84% engagement rate, with an average session of 4 minutes 51 seconds and five pages per visit
8,416 job searches, with 4,336 refined further as candidates narrowed in on the right role
594 candidates using Job Match to see how their experience lines up with open roles
88.6% completion rate for Culture Compass
Job Match lets candidates upload a CV and instantly see how open roles align with their experience. The CV stays on the candidate's device and is never sent to Happydance's servers. That gives candidates the benefit of AI matching without handing over their personal data.
Culture compass (shown on the site as Aristocrat Values Alignment) is a private self-reflection on everyday working style and how it fits life at Aristocrat. Only the candidate sees their individual results. Across all completions, three-quarters of candidates came out as a Strong Match.
Behind the scenes, the site integrates directly with Aristocrat's Workday applicant tracking system, so candidates move smoothly from first click to submitted application. Every CV and attachment also passes through Happydance's bespoke built-in malware and virus scanning for Aristocrat before a recruiter opens it. For a global employer handling a high volume of inbound applications, that layer of protection matters.
"Most careers websites are judged on volume: more traffic, more applicants, more noise for recruiters to wade through. That's the wrong scoreboard. Aristocrat never set out to attract the most candidates. It set out to attract the right ones. Nearly nine in ten people who start Culture compass finish it, and candidates don't do that unless they care about the answer. That's what a careers website should be: a place where people work out whether they belong, not a funnel built to collect CVs."
Bryan Adams, Founder and CEO, Happydance
Aristocrat's team of around 7,400 people worldwide is now represented through one connected careers experience that reflects the breadth of opportunity across the business.
