One partnership, one pipeline, from first visit to hire. In May 2024 Gem launched Gem Career Sites, powered by Happydance, bringing an award-winning careers site platform inside the Gem ecosystem. Here is exactly what that means for your team, in plain language and with the receipts.
The partnership timeline
On 2 May 2024, Gem announced Gem Career Sites, powered by Happydance
...with Gem CEO Steve Bartel noting that joining forces with Happydance aligned with Gem’s mission to help companies build great teams.
On 26 February 2025, Gem relaunched as the AI-first all-in-one recruiting platform, with career sites among its products. On 18 September 2025, the companies introduced the joint mid-market solution, from hello to hire, with Happydance CEO Bryan Adams observing that great candidate experience should not just belong to enterprise-level companies.
What each side brings
Gem brings the recruiting platform: CRM, ATS, AI sourcing, talent communities, events, campaigns and analytics. Happydance brings the careers site platform: award-winning design, a CMS built for talent acquisition teams, SEO architecture, personalization and content analytics. The products meet in the middle, where jobs flow out to the site, and applications and community members flow back into Gem with attribution intact. Neither product pretends to be the other, which is precisely why the pairing works.

Gem customers can add Gem Career Sites through Gem, mid-market teams can take the joint from hello to hire package, and enterprise organizations can engage Happydance directly for the fullest scope. Who builds and supports the career site?
Happydance provides the platform, and support coordination between Gem and Happydance depends on how you purchased. Either way your talent team edits the site through the CMS without engineering help.
Is the Gem version different from Happydance’s own platform?
It is the same platform, connected natively to Gem’s CRM, talent communities, events and campaigns.
When did the partnership start?
Gem announced Gem Career Sites, powered by Happydance, on 2 May 2024 and extended the partnership with a mid-market offer on 18 September 2025.
Do we need Gem’s ATS or just the CRM?
